Women of Worth (WOW) restores dignity and hope to vulnerable women, advocating the value of their lives and demonstrating Christian compassion through support, friendship and practical aid.  WOW was established to help women who face poverty, abuse and exploitation by helping them to understand their value and have the opportunity to thrive.  WOW is working with established partners in India, Ethiopia and Uganda to provide eduction, food, medical care and business enterprises to women who are struggling. 

In India we are supporting more than 400 widows, including a group of women who were widowed during the 2004 tsunami. We also have a widows' home which cares for the most destitute of women.

In Ethiopia we are running a WOW programme in the slums of Addis Ababa where over 20% of the women are HIV positive and many are suffering from other diseases such as TB and Hepititis. In addition to food and medical care we are providing counselling, education and prayer support.

In Uganda we are in the process of purchasing some land to start a WOW centre in the town of Arua.
